At the Terrace Clinic by Dr. Mara Marques, we have Dr. Karim Doughmane Barros, a specialist in Family Medicine, who is dedicated to providing personalized care to each patient through a preventive, patient-centered approach.
Her clinical practice is based on a focus on prevention and health promotion, combining scientific rigor with active listening and individualized care for each person.
He completed the Integrated Master’s Degree in Medicine at the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Porto in 2019, having completed part of his clinical training at the Fondazione IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo in Pavia, Italy.
After clinical experience at the Santarém District Hospital, he completed his residency in Family Medicine at the São João da Talha Family Health Center (USF), part of the São José Local Health Unit (ULS), and completed his specialization in 2025.
He holds a postgraduate degree in Sports Medicine from the Portuguese Society of Sports Medicine and in Occupational Safety from the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda. As part of his training in Sports Medicine, he is also available to conduct medical evaluations and issue medical certificates for sports participation.
He currently works as an Assistant Physician at the ULS São José Extramuros USF and has been a member of the Trofa Saúde Group’s medical team since 2021. He has also been practicing in the field of occupational medicine since 2023.
