At the Terrace Clinic by Dr. Mara Marques, we are pleased to have Dr. Paulo Jorge Figueira, a specialist in orthopedics and traumatology, who is dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system in adolescents (ages 14 and older) and adults.
With extensive clinical and hospital experience, he currently serves as a Hospital Assistant at the Armed Forces Hospital – Lisbon Campus. He practices in the fields of general orthopedics and traumatology, with a special interest in foot and ankle surgery, ultrasound-guided procedures, and the assessment of post-traumatic bodily injury.
Throughout his career, he has completed specialized training in foot and ankle surgery, including a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Advanced Arthroscopy, as well as an international internship in Pediatric Orthopedics at Hospital São João de Deus in Barcelona. He further complemented his training with a postgraduate program in Post-Traumatic Injury Assessment, the 9th Master’s Degree in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound and Ultrasound-Guided Intervention, from CEU San Pablo University, and participated in the first edition of the Orthobiologicals Course, organized by the Spanish Academy of Regenerative Medicine.
He also holds the Certification in Assessment of Personal Injury, awarded by the Portuguese Medical Association.
