Areas of Practice
Travel Medicine consultations include:
- Individualized assessment of travel-related risks;
- Guidance on vaccination and prophylaxis, when applicable;
- Recommendations on preventive measures, hygiene, and health care during travel;
- Information on endemic diseases at chosen destinations;
- Advice on medication, food, and protection against insects or other risk situations.
Who are the consultations for?
The consultations are for all travelers who wish to travel to domestic or international destinations, especially those traveling to areas at risk of specific diseases, long stays, or adventure activities.
They are recommended for anyone who wants to travel informed and protected, regardless of previous travel experience.
How do they work?
The consultation should ideally take place 4 to 6 weeks before travel, allowing sufficient time for vaccination and adaptation to medical recommendations.
Even if the consultation is scheduled a few days before travel, it is still useful for providing essential prevention guidelines.
During the consultation, the doctor assesses the traveler’s medical history, identifies specific risks associated with the trip, and provides personalized guidance, ensuring safety and peace of mind.
