WHAT IS BOTULINUM TOXIN?
Botulinum toxin is a purified natural protein whose purpose is to block the neuromuscular connection, thus achieving temporary relaxation of the treated facial muscles and, as a result, smooth skin.
With this treatment it is possible to achieve the effect of a relaxed face without losing naturalness, expressiveness or facial harmony. Botulinum toxin type A, in diluted form, offers one of the best results when it comes to eliminating wrinkles and has become one of the most common aesthetic treatments in recent decades.
It acts on the muscle, helping to prevent wrinkles from forming when we make certain movements (dynamic wrinkles). Expression lines form with each muscle contraction at a certain point. The main places on the face where it can be used are the frontal region (forehead), the glabella (between the eyebrows) and the periorbital region (“crow’s feet”).

Is the treatment painful?

When do I start seeing results?
The results depend on the individual, but they can begin to be visible between 3 and 7 days after treatment, reaching their maximum effect at around 2 weeks. After this period, maintenance may be necessary. Results generally last between 3 and 6 months, depending on the patient and the area treated.
Are there any side effects?
