At Clínica Terrace by Dr Mara Marques we have Dr Rita Vieira de Carvalho, a specialist in Paediatrics with an academic and professional career dedicated to children’s health care.

She graduated from the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Porto, completed her internship at the Coimbra Hospital Centre and specialised in paediatrics at the Prof. Doutor Fernando Fonseca Hospital. She also has a subspeciality in Neonatology, recognised by the Portuguese Medical Association. She currently works as a Paediatric Hospital Assistant in the Neonatology Department at ULS Coimbra.

Her further training reflects a strong interest in the area of paediatric nutrition, having completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Paediatric Nutrition at the Institute of Health Sciences of the Portuguese Catholic University and the Postgraduate Program in Paediatric Nutrition at the Boston University School of Medicine. She also took part in the Young Medical Leaders Programme at the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, enriching her vision of management and innovation in the healthcare sector.

With active participation in various refresher courses in the field of Paediatrics and several publications in national and international journals, Dr Rita is constantly evolving, guaranteeing up-to-date care based on the best scientific evidence.
