With a degree in Clinical Psychology from ISPA in Lisbon, she has a solid and diverse background, including postgraduate studies in Psychogerontology, training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Schema-Focused Therapy, and Neurological Intervention in Dementia. Her clinical practice is based on an integrative approach, supported by scientific evidence and adapted to the specific needs of each person.
Dr. Susana Carvalho values a therapeutic relationship based on acceptance, respect for individuality, professional ethics, and the creation of a safe, authentic, and trusting space. Each therapeutic process is developed in a personalized way, allowing the person to better understand their emotions, functioning patterns, and difficulties, promoting consistent and lasting change.
